Interesting collection of 64 bulls issued by four different popes between 1586 and 1594, mostly granting privileges to civil and religious orders or dealing with specific economic, administrative and political issues, such as the renewal of the privileges of the Malta Knights (no. 18) and of the Benedictine Order in Spain (no. 31); the executive mandate against the Society of John of God and against the Order of Friars Minor of St. Francis (no. 38); the reformation of the female monasteries of Naples and Salerno (no. 42) and of the diocese of Montefiascone (letter by cardinal Enrico Caetani, no. 48); the regulation, counterfeiting and value of money (no. 33); the erection and maintenance of several Mounts of Piety, including that for the provinces (no. 30); adultery, rape and prostitution (no. 1); marriage dispensations in the first and second degree of consanguinity or affinity (no. 14); abortion (no. 20); private or public duels (no. 51); etc.
