First edition of this anti-Jewish polemical work. Its author, Sabbatai Nachamù, was a former rabbi who, in 1735, became Francesco Maria Ferretti following his conversion to Catholicism under the influence of Paolo Medici. As emphasized in the Premessa al lettore Ebreo, the work deals with both theological themes and polemics against Jewish rituals (cf. F. Parente, Les juifs et l'Église romaine à l'époque moderne XV^e-XVIII^e siècle, 2007, p. 173).
