Public notification, issued by the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza on September 10, 1749, regulating the entry and stay of Jews in the city of Piacenza and throughout the state. Shortly after his arrival, Don Philip of Bourbon, through Giacomo Maria Schiattini, the governor, prohibited Jews from staying for more than twenty-four hours - even if only passing through - without a specific license, under penalty of fines and imprisonment. They were also prohibited from entering into any contracts, under penalty of seizure of the goods covered by the contract.
