FIRST AND ONLY EDITION (reprinted only recently by Forni, in 1967 and 1979, as anastatic reprint). A few copies of this edition bear the date 1747.

Born in Badia Polesine, which dedicated to him the local public library, Bronziero was a physician and a historian. He graduated in medicine in 1597 and was later call to practice in Belluno.

His fundamental work on the Polesine region in southern Veneto, the first ever dedicated exclusively to that area, was completed in Belluno in 1629, but was published only a century after his death.
