Broadsheet (217x172 mm), woodcut decorated initial. Some foxing and staining. Prospectus issued by the Milan typographer Giuseppe Galeati announcing his last publications on ancient and ecclestiastical history.

-ZERLETTI, GUGLIELMO. Avviso. [Venice, Guglielmo Zerletti, 1769]. Broadsheet printed on recto only (190x132 mm). With this prospectus the Venetian printer Guglielmo Zerletti announces the release of a new corrected edition of L'Ostetricia, ovvero il Trattato dei Parti (‘Obstetrics or the treaty of childbirths') by Pietro Paolo Tanaron. The first edition, immediately sold out, had been printed at Florence by Giuseppe Allegrini in 1768. Some staining and foxing. Unrecorded.

[Florence], [Allegrini, Pisoni, e comp.], 1770. 8vo (c. 160x90 mm). 22, [2 bianche] pp. Woodcut printer's device at p. 22. Very detailed prospectus announcing the issuing of a new Florentine edition of the Enciclopédie. The booklet explains the reasons and the plan of the work. The edition, which would have been the second printed in Italy after that of Lucca (1758-1776), was never realized probably beacause in 1770 a new edition was begun in Livorno. Manuscript note on the first leaf recto, some staining, a very good uncut and unbound copy with deckle edges.

-CONGREGATIO DE PROPAGANDA FIDE-CONSTANTIUS, VINCENTIUS ALEXANDER. Ecclesiasticae Historiae sacrarumque antiquitatum cultoribus. Rome, Congregatio de Propaganda Fide, 1770. 4to (233x181 mm). [2] leaves, printed on the recto of the first leaf and on the verso of the second. Prospectus issued by Congregatio de Propaganda Fide about the publication of the volume by Gregorio Cortese (1483-1548) De romani itinere gestisque principis apostolorum libri duo. Vincentius Alexander Constantius recensuit notis illustravit Annales SS. Petri et Pauli et Appendicem monumentorum adiecit opus in duos tomos distributum (Rome, Excudebat Generosus Salomonius, 1770), of which the title page is reproduced. That of Cortese was the first of two volumes dedicated to ecclesiastical history; the second contained the Annals of the Saint Peter and Saint Paul. Some browning and staining, small paper loss along the outer margin not affecting the text. Unrecorded.

Cosmopoli [i.e. Venice, Luigi Pavini], December 20, 1770. 16mo (162x114 mm). 8 pp. Prospectus issued by the typographer and bookseller Luigi Pavini about the publication of the newspaper called Mercurio storico e politico, modeled on a similar Dutch magazine. On the last two leaves is the list, arranged by town, of the editor's correspondents, whom the subscribers of the newspaper can contact. Damp stains. Uncut. Unrecorded.

Prospectus regarding the publication of the works by the Marquis Francesco Albergati Capacelli, with subscription's request. Light damp stains. Unrecorded.

Unidendified and unrecorded prospectus announcing the release of the novel Il disinganno de' semplici, ossia il diavolo cicisbeo, which apparently was never published. Unrecorded.

With this prospectus the printer and bookseller Lorenzo Baseggio announces the publication of an edition of the Bible in Italian accompanied by the commentary of I.L. Le Maistre de Sacy. The edition was actually printed in 46 volumes between 1773 and 1779. Damp stains, small loss to the the outer margin not affecting the text. Unrecorded

The bookseller and typographer Vitto announces the publication of the work Contemplazione della natura by Charles Bonnet, in the translation of Lazzaro Spallanzani. Vitto's edition, a reprint of the Modena edition issued in 1769-70, was printed in 1773. Light browning and staining. Unrecorded.

With the present prospectus the editor Generoso Salomoni announces the publication of the second volume of the Elementa Juris Criminalis by the jurist Filippo Maria Renazzi. The first volume had appeared in 1773. The second was realeased in 1775. Two further volumes will be issued in 1781 and 1786. -PIATTI, GUGLIELMO. AVVISO. AVIS. [Florence, Guglielmo Piatti, before 1822]. Bifolium (294x208 mm), the verso of the second leaf is a blank. Text in Italian and French printed in two columns. On the lower margin of first leaf is a manuscript note: “Prenderò due copie della su detta Opera incontrarsi il prezzo dell [sic] Dizionario delle Scienze Naturali, e cosi potrò farla conoscere, e vedrò di poterne fare esito di più copie se sarà fattibile Matelb[?]” (‘I will buy two copies of the above mentioned work at the price of the Dictionary of Natural Sciences, so that I will promote it and I will try to possibly sell more…'). Large stain affecting the upper part of the bifolium. Prospectus announcing the publication of 12 engravings showing the frescoes made by Luca Giordano at the Galleria of Palazzo Medici-Riccardi in Florence. The work, as announced in the prospectus, was printed by Piatti in Florence in 1822: Galleria Riccardiana dipinta da Luca Giordano pubblicata dal marchese Francesco Riccardi Vernaccia... incisa da Lasinio figlio sui disegni di V.
