Rare first edition of this trade treaty which compares the tariffs and weights of Milan and Mantua under Austrian rule with those of the Este duchy. The tariffs are divided by city (Modena, Reggio Emilia, Correggio, Mirandola, Concordia and San Felice) and arranged alphabetically by commodity name.

The trade treaty was concluded in 1757, four years after the 1753 nuptial treaty between the Habsburgs and the Este. An early version of only 15 pages was printed in Milan in 1757.
