The original woodcut by Mino Maccari, numbered and signed by the author (107/150), and the 72 lithographs, numbered on the verso, engraved by Ernesto Romagnoli from drawings by the artist, are instead loose. Contemporary half leather with gilt title on spine, cardboard slipcase.
Excellent copy of this work published in only 175 copies on Magnani handmade paper, of which 150 are commercial copies (numbered 1-150) and 25 (numbered A-Z) are not for sale.
Mino Maccari (Siena, 1898 - Rome, 1989) was an Italian writer, painter, printmaker and journalist, winner of the Feltrinelli Prize for Painting in 1963.
