Ermenegildo Laget was a regular cleric of the Benevento pious schools. This apparently unrecorded and unpublished devotional manuscript is dedicated by him to Maria Felice Pacca, abbess of the Benedictine convent of San Vittorino in Benevento. The Pacca family, from Naples, had also become the Marquis of Matrice, a province of the County of Molise in the Diocese of Benevento, in 1705.
