Rare first edition of Leopardi's translation of the second book of the Aeneid. “Work sent by Giacomo to Stella on September 1816 and published in mid-February 1817. From this little book (on which Giacomo based many hopes) sent as a gift to Monti, Mai and Giordani on February 21, 1817, originated the latter's epistolary correspondence and friendship with Leopardi” (Benedettucci).
