Many woodcut head-, tail-pieces and initials; in-text woodcut illustrations and 4 folding tables containing descriptive diagrams. Several marginal and interlinear manuscript annotations by at least three different hands. Slightly uniformly browned. Contemporary stiff vellum, manuscript title on the spine (slightly faded), blue edges (new hand-papers). All in all, a good, extensively-annotated copy.

First, and only, edition of this treatise divided into four books. It deals with the art of ‘physiognomonia' (physiognomics), ‘metoposcopia' (palmistry), ‘oneirocritica' (dream interpretation) and others. It contains references to Renaissance contributions to the subjects.
