[8], 167, [1 blank] pp. Half title, engraved title (Canon Missae Pontificalis), title page printed in red and black with the engraved arms of Pope Benedict XIII in the center, text entirely printed in red and black in two columns within a double typographic border, printed music notations, 14 full-page engraved plates, 3 engraved ornamental borders, 12 engraved tailpieces and 16 engraved initials by Gaspar Massi and Hubert Vincent after Guido Reni, Carlo Maratta, Giovanni Francesco Romanelli, Antonio da Correggio, Annibale Carracci, Raffael, and others. Contemporary richly gilt red morocco, spine with five raised bands, panels with the gilt arms of an unidentified cardinal (that on the front panel has been covered at the time with the coat-of arms of a different cardinal, also unidentified), gilt edges, marbled endleaves, pink silk bookmarks (worn and rubbed, upper joint slightly opened). Some light marginal staining and foxing, gutter of a bifolium anciently reinforced, a good copy.
